Centipede Grass is the perfect choice for homeowners who are more hands-off about their landscaping, as it’s one of the slower growing warm-season grasses. Keep in mind, though, that Centipede grass isn’t cut out for high traffic.
Bahiagrass is the grass with long, skinny blades you often see at parks or fields. It’s stress resistant and hardy enough to survive a drought, but it’s not the most attractive when it goes to seed. Mow this grass often.
Zoysia Grass is common on golf courses, known for its dense turf and low maintenance upkeep. Zoysia goes dormant after a frost, so you might need to do some re-seeding after a particularly cold winter.
